NIIT Nigeria has once again started to accept applications for the 2016 (17th) edition of its yearly scholarship awards which are aimed at equipping people looking to advance their career and better their life with in-demand information and communication technology (ICT) skills.
About the scholarship
The NIIT Nigeria Scholarship Award 2016 is the 17th edition of this information technology (IT) scholarship scheme. NIIT is a leading global ICT training institution, which has been operating in Nigeria since 1999 when it set up shop in Ikeja, Lagos. It has since spread its tentacles to other cities in the country and this has added national colouration to its scholarship awards in a way. It claims to train over 16,000 students annually in Nigeria.
For the first time since inception, certain ‘futuristic programs,’including DigiNxt, Java Enterprises Apps with DevOps, and Big Data, will be offered under the NIIT Nigeria Scholarship Award 2016. The global ICT training institution says this decision is informed by changing manpower requirement in the industry.
Who is Qualified to Apply?
The NIIT Nigeria Scholarship Award 2016 appears to be an all-come scholarship award, which points to possibility of having some people offered partial scholarships or discounted fees. The training institute says the following classes of people can apply:
* School leavers
* Undergraduates
* Graduates (employed, underemployed or unemployed)
* Professionals
* Entrepreneurs, and even
* Dropouts
You can see this is an all-is-welcome award, possibly with your cash in your pocket to pay along the way.
Application and Deadline
Applications for NIIT Nigeria Scholarship Award 2016 can be done via NIIT Nigeria website (www.niitnigeria.com). Alternatively, you may get an application form from one of NIIT’s centres spread across Nigeria. After applying online, a Hall Ticket will be generated for you — this will be used to gain entrance to a relevant examination venue.
Application is said to be free and you have up until 16 July, 2016 to enter one for the NIIT Nigeria Scholarship Award 2016. Test holds on 17 July, 2016 and the scholarships will supposedly be award based on scores obtained in the exam.
Note: Based on personal experience, you should still expect to pay what you may consider a huge sum, even when you make distinctions in the test.

You will see the application form to your left on the NIIT Nigeria (niitnigeria.com) home page. Just fill in the required information and select your preferred centre for the test and you’re done. I hav registered but I don’t hav a hall ticket.pls how can I present my form. But I hav received my exam center and my exam time.
The hall ticket doesn’t come in immediately. If you do not get it soon, I’ll advise you print the message in your box that acknowledged your registration on the site and explain to them what happened when you get to the venue.

You need to go to the centre that you chose when you registered to check your result.
this program is wounderful its help many people becouse today to i won the exam and i appreciate god helping me through out the exam and this is the first time of me having scholership i appreciate.

Can we get our result trough online processing
I do not think so. You may need to get in touch with them. Usually, you’d be told on the day of the tests that you should check your result at a centre nearest to you from a specific date.

Sorry, I do not think there is any cut-off. You will need to contact a nearest centre and confirm your performance. That will determine the class of ‘scholarship’ that would be offered to you.
