2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships

ESSO Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) is inviting interested Nigerian graduates looking forward to continuing their education outside the borders of Nigeria to consider submitting application for its 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships.

About 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded by ESSO Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL), an ExxonMobil affiliate, in conjunction with joint-venture partners, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO). The awards have been handed out to eligible and qualified candidates for several years. According to the sponsors, the program helped a total of 123 Nigerian graduates to undergo post-graduate studies in foreign institutions between 1994 and 2014, while a further 159 were assisted through postgraduate programs in Nigerian tertiary institutions since 2007.

The 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships will be offered for post-graduate studies in the following disciplines:

• Geosciences
• Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil/Structural, Pipeline, Marine and Subsea).

The 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships will cover tuition, books, accommodation and living expenses for the duration of chosen postgraduate program.

Eligibility

Below are the conditions of eligibility for the 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships:

• Possession of an undergraduate or first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division)
• The degree must be in any of the aforementioned Engineering and Geosciences disciplines; specialisation is Geophysics gives you added advantage
• Possession of an offer of provisional admission for full-time postgraduate study (M.Sc or M.Eng) at a reputable university abroad during the 2015/2016

ExxonMobil subsidiary company employees and their dependents are not eligible to apply for 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships.

Deadline

Applications for the 2015 NNPC/ESSO International Postgraduate Scholarships will end midnight of June 9 – the earlier you apply, the better. Shortlisted applicants will be invited via text messages and e-mails to take part in a selection test.
