As part of its mandate to transform the Nigerian economy into one driven by information technology (IT), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is requesting applications from eligible candidates for the 2016/2017 edition of its postgraduate scholarship scheme.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) postgraduate scholarships commenced in 2010 with a view to bridging the digital divide and improving the global competitiveness of the Nigerian economy. The scholarships are offered to candidates pursuing Master’s (M.Sc) and Doctorate (Ph.D) degrees in study areas related to information technology (IT).
Unlike as was the case in last year’s edition, the NITDA postgraduate scholarships will only be offered for study in domestic universities (public or private). This is obviously as a result of present economic crunch that has been so much talked about.
