Huawei SnapTo – Specifications, Features and Price in Nigeria

The Huawei SnapTo, launched in April 2015, is one of the many affordable smartphones that have flooded the market in recent years. While this Android smartphone might not come as cheap as the Microsoft Lumia 430, the device no doubt offers quality for money when one considers how it is decked out in terms of features and capabilities such as 4G LTE connectivity.

Design and Display

In terms of design, Huawei SnapTo is a simple-looking device – it is not overly ornate. The phone looks cool in spite of the fact that the body is made of plastic. It sports a 5-inch display with an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This screen might not be the best you can find around, it should produce sufficient viewing detail.

Camera

Huawei SnapTo is equipped with a 5-megapixel snapper with LED flash on the rear. The camera has HD (720-pixel) video capturing capability. On the front of the phone is a 2-megapixel shooter which should be able to produce enough quality when taking pictures. One cool thing with the camera on the Huawei SnapTo is a quick-launch feature called the Ultra Snapshot camera activation feature. If you need to quickly capture an image, you can easily fire up the shooter by pressing the volume-down button twice. You can also add personal touch to images taken as well.

Power and Performance

Driven by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, the Huawei SnapTo is intended to handle multitasking seamlessly to an extent. It comes with 1GB of RAM to enhance responsiveness. The affordable smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system from factory. The 2200mAh battery supplied should be able to provide enough juice to get the phone running for a long time, especially when one considers the moderate display resolution.

Integrated storage memory on the Huawei SnapTo is 8GB, with this being expandable with the use of a microSD card. Users will be able to enjoy blazing internet connection speed on the smartphone considering its support for 4G LTE networks.

Availability and Pricing in Nigeria

Huawei SnapTo became available for purchase on Amazon almost immediately after its introduction on April 9. It goes for a price of $180, which translates into around N36,000 in Nigeria (going by present exchange rate). This price is likely to drop in the months ahead, going by how the market is being inundated with inexpensive, quality devices.
