HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Notebooks (2015)

If you are one of those that were impressed by the HP Spectre x360 convertible laptop but unable to get one due to its prohibitive price tag, it will interest you to know that HP has introduced more affordable convertibles. The 2015 HP Pavilion x360 hybrids boast impressive displays and long-lasting battery life, while also offering amazing versatility. These new convertibles come in 11-inch and 13-inch variants.

HP Pavilion x360 (11-inch)

This refreshed fold-back computer features an 11.6-inch IPS touch display with HD (1366×768-pixel) resolution. It boasts a fanless design, made possible by the use of fifth-generation Intel Pentium N3700 or Intel Core M processor. These chips are said to be more power efficient and so eliminates the need for fans. Chosen processor will be backed up by standard system memory of 4 GB, upgradable to 8 GB. Internal storage options go up to 1 TB for hard drives or 128 GB for snappier solid-state drives.

HP Pavilion x360 (13-inch)

This variant of the HP Pavilion x360 convertible laptop is fitted with a 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen having an HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels like its smaller brother, but an optional Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display is available for extra money. The hybrid is powered by 5th-generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, supported by standard RAM of 4 GB. System memory can be upgraded up to 16 GB. The 13-inch Pavilion x360 can be configured with regular hard drive or solid-state drive for storage, just like its 11-inch variant.

Multi-mode Laptop

No doubt, the most appealing thing about the redesigned HP Pavilion x360 is the fact it can be used in multiple modes. The 2015 models of the hybrid features geared hinge design – the same used on the more expensive Spectre x360 – replacing the original bar-shaped hinge used on their predecessors. This quality hinge enables a user to flip a Pavilion x360 computer around a full 360 degrees. What this means is that aside using the machine in the laptop mode, you also use it in a tablet mode when browsing or reading online; a tent mode when playing games, or a stand mode when doing video calling or watching movies.
