Build and Display

Featuring a plastic body, Acer Aspire One Cloudbook is not built to wow users with its look, but to be reliable with its somewhat solid construction. The notebook’s cover has a mineral grey finish and dotted textile pattern. While it is not the most lightweight or slimmest laptop we have seen, it does look like one you should not have significant problem hitting the road with – especially in the case of the 11-inch model which weighs only 1.15 kg and is just 17.9mm thick. Acer Aspire One Cloudbook packs a full-size chiclet-style keyboard and a decently large touchpad with Windows 10 gestures support. Its 11.6-inch or 14-inch display offers LED backlighting and a standard resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Hardware and Software

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook is powered by latest Intel Celeron processors, which receive support from decent DDR3 RAM of 2GB capacity. It suffices to say that you should expect to do no more than basic tasks such as browsing, spreadsheet use and email checking with it. The 11-inch model has a measly 16 GB of eMMC storage, while its bigger brother offers up to 64GB onboard storage. You can add more storage memory with a microSD card or an external drive. The Aspire One Cloudbook will run on the latest Windows 10 operating system, giving users access to some exciting new features such as Cortana.

Miscellaneous Specs and Features

Since Acer Aspire One Cloudbook is a cloud-focused laptop, you will be able to complement the measly onboard storage memory with free online storage of up to 1 TB on OneDrive for a year. You also get to a year Office 365 Personal subscription. Acer’s cloud-designed abApps allow you sync files and documents securely via the cloud with your other devices.

Dual digital microphones with enhanced digital signal processing ensure quality online calls and great Cortana use experience. The notebook features full-size USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI and SD card reader. You also get to enjoy latest Wi-Fi 802.11ac for three times faster wireless Internet connection speeds.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook has since gone on sale.
